A catering company based in Cape Town. Chef Clare Bock started catering in Cape Town in January 2007 after running Chefettes one of Gauteng’s premier catering companies from January 1990 - December 2005.

Appetite’s team of professionally trained chefs and supervisors take care of every aspect of your function from assisting with planning the event, offering personalised menus to suit your budget, arranging the hiring, staff, flowers & decor to cooking, preparing and serving the food and managing the event.

Appetite caters for corporate and private functions, food and wine pairing evenings, children’s parties, seminars & workshops at UCT & UWC, school functions, sporting events, picnics & tour groups.

We offer cookery classes, take-away meals for 6-8 people and sell our own range of homemade biscuits, toasted seed mix; tomato chilli jam, a peppercorn and horseradish rub for meat, salad dressings and sweet sauces for desserts.

Appetite’s style is innovative and we are inspired by local and international trends. We cook with seasonal ingredients and use fresh herbs and flowers to garnish our platters.

Clare is currently the food editor for the Toyota Zone magazine.

This magazine is geared towards people that have a love for the outdoors, adventure and exploring. Clare’s food assignments so far have included camping food, padkos, ideas for leftover boerewors, winter warmers & patio food - Appetite sources recipes or creates their own, prepares the food, assists with the food styling and writes the recipes.
